FYP1_WEEK3 (LITERATURE REVIEW RESULT ON SOFTWARE DISCUSSION)

In week 3, I and Dr. Aizat had conducted a meeting to present my findings based on the task that was given last week which is to make a literature review based on research paper. The result of my finding had been presented to Dr. Aizat is:

Type of software and libraries used in previous research:

1) PyCharm

PyCharm is a dedicated Python Integrated Development Environment (IDE) providing a wide range of essential tools for Python developers, tightly integrated to create a convenient environment for productive Python, web, and data science development.

2) OpenCV

OpenCV (Open Source Computer Vision Library) is an open source computer vision and machine learning software library. OpenCV was built to provide a common infrastructure for computer vision applications and to accelerate the use of machine perception in the commercial products. Being an Apache 2 licensed product, OpenCV makes it easy for businesses to utilize and modify the code.

3) MediaPipe

MediaPipe is an open-source library that offers cross-platform, customizable Machine Learning solutions for live and streaming media. Some of the research used this library to add data point to the hand for hand mapping so that more data can be gather from image captured to train their machine learning model.

4) Teachable Machine

Teachable Machine is a web-based tool that helps creating machine learning models so that computers could recognize images, sounds, & poses. In one of the research, they used Teachable Machine to develop their machine learning model since it require less programming expertise.

After presenting the result for software part, Dr. Aizat had given several idea on where to learn to code using all the sofware presented and he also asked me to present the findings on hardware that was used by previous researcher in the next meeting.
